CD Capital, an investment company focussed on real estate development and value-add investment, required to redesign to increase the impact and visibility of its brand – particularly in exterior applications. The mark itself is a visual evolution of the idea of partnership between the two letterforms that was established in the original. The dual parallel lines reflect the common philosophy and goals of the two parters of CD Capital – Jordan Dermer and Todd Cowan. Because the word “PARTNERS” was eliminated in the logo in order to keep the lock-up as simple and streamlined as possible, it was key that the concept of partnership and common goals was as immediately apparent as possible.
