These entrepreneurs had an intriguing business plan – to provide educational and entertaining corporate retreats in elite locations across North America. Unfortunately, they had a name, Summit Retreats, that was too generic for them to stand out.
Unlike your average travel agency that only provides flight and hotel bookings, or a corporate facilitator who only provides meeting support – Summit Retreats combines business groups everything required to create turn-key, high-end, value-packed retreat experiences, including exclusive accommodations, unique networking and team-building activities and access to leading subject-matter experts in various areas of business growth. Unfortunately, even though their retreat experiences could happen anywhere in the world, the name Summit Retreats left the impression that their destinations were limited to rugged, mountain-based getaways.
We rebranded the company as Adventurus to highlight both the elite destinations supported by the company, as well as the tangible value of the retreat ventures. Support materials, including website, collateral materials and trade show booth all feature a modern, bold design. Unexpected features, such as ticket-shaped business cards and post-card inspired promotional materials demonstrate the attention to detail and concierge-style treatment offered by Adventurus’ “business-class” retreat experiences.
The result has been instant credibility within the markeplace, and plenty of interest from business groups. The professional, design-savvy approach has also helped the company build relationships with vendor partners, including hotels and travel providers which enables Adventurus to offer even more exclusive value-added services to its retreat attendees.
